The right bolt for the TenPoint Nitro 505
The correct bolt length, nock and minimum grain weight for the TenPoint Nitro 505, and what stops a dry-fire.
Dry-fire warning
Bolt length, nock type and minimum grain weight are quoted from each manufacturer's published arrow data and owner documentation, cited on every page. A nock or grain-weight mismatch can cause a dry-fire that damages the bow and can injure the shooter. Confirm against your own owner's manual before shooting, and never drop below the stated minimum total grain weight.

The Nitro 505 is a flagship-speed ACUslide bow matched to the 445-grain CenterPunch HPX and the Alpha-Nock HPX. At 505 fps the arrow and nock are a system; the published speed only holds with that arrow.
At half a thousand feet per second, a mis-indexed or wrong-family nock is the fastest way to a dry-fire. Do not lighten the arrow below the shipped grain weight to chase speed; that is a warranty and safety line.
