The published spec of the Excalibur Quill 16.5, the nock it uses, and the crossbows it fits.

Dry-fire warning

Crossbow bolt data and archery arrow spine, nock and thread data are quoted from each manufacturer's published figures, owner documentation and industry standards, cited on every page. A nock, spine or grain-weight mismatch can cause a dry-fire that damages the bow and can injure the shooter. Confirm against your own owner's manual and the arrow maker's own chart before shooting, and never drop below the stated minimum total weight.

Field notes

The Quill is Excalibur's short 16.5-inch carbon arrow for the Micro-series recurves, 250-grain shaft at 9.9 GPI.

On the Micro series it wears a flat nock; on the TwinStrike it ships with a Rhino nock that must be indexed like a half-moon.

Excalibur cautions against dropping below 350 total grains, so pair the Quill with a heavy enough point.
