The right bolt for the Ravin R500
The correct bolt length, nock and minimum grain weight for the Ravin R500, and what stops a dry-fire.
Dry-fire warning
Bolt length, nock type and minimum grain weight are quoted from each manufacturer's published arrow data and owner documentation, cited on every page. A nock or grain-weight mismatch can cause a dry-fire that damages the bow and can injure the shooter. Confirm against your own owner's manual before shooting, and never drop below the stated minimum total grain weight.

The R500 is the exception in the Ravin line. It uses an R500-specific arrow measuring about 21 inches with field point and nock, and the standard Ravin.003 arrow is explicitly not compatible. At 500 fps the arrow is tuned for this bow alone.
This is the single most important Ravin distinction. A standard Ravin.003 arrow is not an R500 arrow, and an R500 arrow is not for the other Ravins. Mixing them voids the warranty on a 500-fps bow. Read the box.
