The right bolt for the TenPoint TRX 26

The correct bolt length, nock and minimum grain weight for the TenPoint TRX 26, and what stops a dry-fire.

Dry-fire warning

Bolt length, nock type and minimum grain weight are quoted from each manufacturer's published arrow data and owner documentation, cited on every page. A nock or grain-weight mismatch can cause a dry-fire that damages the bow and can injure the shooter. Confirm against your own owner's manual before shooting, and never drop below the stated minimum total grain weight.

The TenPoint TRX 26 uses a 20 in bolt with a TenPoint Alpha-Nock, minimum 445 gr total with the CenterPunch HPX. Buy the TenPoint CenterPunch HPX 20 in carbon arrow with Alpha-Nock HPX.

Field notes

The TRX 26 is a 2025 twin-riser TenPoint at 460 fps on a railless Zero-Trac barrel, matched to the 445-grain CenterPunch HPX with an Alpha-Nock HPX. The bolt rides on bearings, so the nock engagement is what keeps it on the string.

On a railless Zero-Trac bow the correct Alpha-Nock HPX is not optional. A flat or Omni nock can let the string slip past the bolt and dry-fire the bow at 460 fps.
