The right bolt for the CenterPoint Amped 425

The correct bolt length, nock and minimum grain weight for the CenterPoint Amped 425, and what stops a dry-fire.

Dry-fire warning

Crossbow bolt data and archery arrow spine, nock and thread data are quoted from each manufacturer's published figures, owner documentation and industry standards, cited on every page. A nock, spine or grain-weight mismatch can cause a dry-fire that damages the bow and can injure the shooter. Confirm against your own owner's manual and the arrow maker's own chart before shooting, and never drop below the stated minimum total weight.

The CenterPoint Amped 425 uses a 20 in bolt with a Half-moon nock, minimum 400 gr total (300 gr shaft + 100 gr point). Buy the CenterPoint 20 in carbon arrow with half-moon nock.

Field notes

The Amped 425 is a CenterPoint compound rated at 425 fps with 160 foot-pounds of energy, shipped with 20-inch 400-grain carbon arrows on a half-moon nock. It shares the silent cranking device with the Wrath 430.

The half-moon nock is indexed; seat the odd vane square to the string or risk a dry-fire from the string catching the groove rim. Do not drop below 400 total grains.
