The right bolt for the Ravin R26

The correct bolt length, nock and minimum grain weight for the Ravin R26, and what stops a dry-fire.

Dry-fire warning

Bolt length, nock type and minimum grain weight are quoted from each manufacturer's published arrow data and owner documentation, cited on every page. A nock or grain-weight mismatch can cause a dry-fire that damages the bow and can injure the shooter. Confirm against your own owner's manual before shooting, and never drop below the stated minimum total grain weight.

The Ravin R26 uses a 20 in bolt with a Ravin clip-on nock, minimum 400 gr total (300 gr shaft + 100 gr point). Buy the Ravin.003 20 in arrow with Ravin polymer clip-on nock.

Field notes

The R26 is a mid-size HeliCoil Ravin at 400 fps and 5.75 inches wide cocked, cocking on 12 pounds of draw. As a non-R500 Ravin it takes the standard 20-inch Ravin.003 arrow with the Ravin clip-on nock.

Do not fit a generic half-moon nock or an R500 arrow to the R26. Only the standard Ravin.003 arrow and Ravin clip-on nock are warranted on this bow.
