The right bolt for the Ravin R470
The correct bolt length, nock and minimum grain weight for the Ravin R470, and what stops a dry-fire.
Dry-fire warning
Crossbow bolt data and archery arrow spine, nock and thread data are quoted from each manufacturer's published figures, owner documentation and industry standards, cited on every page. A nock, spine or grain-weight mismatch can cause a dry-fire that damages the bow and can injure the shooter. Confirm against your own owner's manual and the arrow maker's own chart before shooting, and never drop below the stated minimum total weight.

The R470 is a fast HeliCoil Ravin at 470 fps. It is not part of the R500 Series, so it still takes the standard 20-inch Ravin.003 arrow with the Ravin clip-on nock, not the R500 arrow.
The R470 name looks close to the R500, but its arrow is the standard Ravin.003, not the R500-series arrow. Match the arrow to the model and never substitute a non-Ravin nock.
