Barnett Headhunter arrow: the crossbows it fits

The published spec of the Barnett Headhunter arrow, the nock it uses, and the crossbows it fits.

Dry-fire warning

Crossbow bolt data and archery arrow spine, nock and thread data are quoted from each manufacturer's published figures, owner documentation and industry standards, cited on every page. A nock, spine or grain-weight mismatch can cause a dry-fire that damages the bow and can injure the shooter. Confirm against your own owner's manual and the arrow maker's own chart before shooting, and never drop below the stated minimum total weight.

Field notes

The Headhunter is Barnett's standard-diameter carbon arrow on a half-moon nock, the arrow for the non-Hyper Barnett bows.

Barnett's own guidance recommends a 22-inch arrow at 425 total grains with a 125-grain point for the least stress on the bow.

The half-moon nock must be indexed square to the string, or the string can ride the groove rim and dry-fire the bow.
