The right bolt for the Barnett Hyper Raptor
The correct bolt length, nock and minimum grain weight for the Barnett Hyper Raptor, and what stops a dry-fire.
Dry-fire warning
Crossbow bolt data and archery arrow spine, nock and thread data are quoted from each manufacturer's published figures, owner documentation and industry standards, cited on every page. A nock, spine or grain-weight mismatch can cause a dry-fire that damages the bow and can injure the shooter. Confirm against your own owner's manual and the arrow maker's own chart before shooting, and never drop below the stated minimum total weight.

The Hyper Raptor is a compact Hyper-series Barnett that sends the small-diameter 20-inch HyperFlite arrow to 410 fps with 152 foot-pounds of energy. It uses the HyperFlite capture nock, not a standard Headhunter half-moon bolt.
A standard 20-inch half-moon Barnett Headhunter arrow is the wrong diameter for the Hyper barrel. The Hyper series takes only HyperFlite arrows with the capture nock.
